Bhosle said she felt honoured to have been personally invited by Bhagwat who visited her home. In the letter, Bhosle appreciated RSS’s work as a “ray of hope for the glorious future of India” and assured her cooperation in future for their work. Bhagwat responded to this saying he would come to meet her again soon.Travel ChallengesSome of the all-party delegations that went abroad to convey India’s message on cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan have returned after extensive travel. The trips to foreign nations had different kinds of challenges — from holding back-to-back meetings with a cross-section of people to logistical issues. One member said while the discourse on social media was that it was a “pleasure trip”, in reality it was a “pressure trip” with several engagements scheduled through the day. Another MP said finding vegetarian meals was an issue that some members faced, but they managed. An MP said he survived mostly on cornflakes, fruits and once he ordered a “veg-pizza”. Some MPs belonging to rival parties are also learnt to have “bonded” during the tour.Ganga ConnectionWith Bihar Assembly polls months away, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Thursday gave a call to save the Ganga river, at an event organised by party vice president A K Bajpai at India International Centre in the Capital. Chirag said that to achieve the objective of saving the Ganga and Himalayan glaciers, society will have to collectively hit the streets.
