Sporting make decision on Viktor Gyokeres with Arsenal ‘in advanced talks’ as they jump ahead of Man Utd for unhappy ace

Discussions regarding the transfer fee are ongoing but personal terms are in place on a five-year contract. Sporting, knowing there is massive interest in their star striker, are now demanding at least £68.5m.Club president Frederico Varandas, who has had a public falling out with the former Coventry forward, had hoped that Gyokeres was bluffing and that he would return to training but this now seems unlikely.Gyokeres, 27, a £20m signing from Coventry in 2023, has scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting.Gyokeres has turned down offers from Saudi Pro League sides Al-Hilal and Al-Qadisiyah.And the centre-forward would prefer to play in the Premier League.
