According to the police, a complaint was filed against the senior doctor on Friday night, following which an FIR was registered under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 75 (sexual harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.A SENIOR doctor teaching at a medical college in Raipur has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a student. The doctor was called for questioning on Saturday, said police.According to the police, a complaint was filed against the senior doctor on Friday night, following which an FIR was registered under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 75 (sexual harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.A senior police officer said, “The incident happened between January 2 and 10 this year. The doctor has been accused of obscene acts. The victim complained to the college authorities after which disciplinary action was taken and the accused doctor was removed from the post of HoD. The victim now decided to file a police complaint.”When contacted, the Dean of the medical college said, “We have not received any information from the police and the student did not inform us that she is approaching the police. I am getting information from the media.
