Disney World Makes Woman in Low-Cut Crop Top Change Clothes

A Walt Disney World Resort guest recently posted a TikTok video showing the shirt that cast members said violated the theme park’s dress code. The footage showed the guest at Magic Kingdom Park in a low-cut crop top before she was forced to change into another tank top.Over the last few years, the Disney dress code has transformed from a banal theme park rule to a viral social media trend. It first emerged in 2022, when a few viral TikTok videos encouraged guests to purposely wear inappropriate clothing to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in exchange for free shirts.Credit: DisneyHistorically, Disney cast members would give guests who violated the dress code complimentary clothing so they didn’t have to purchase something or return to their Disney Resort hotels to change. However, the trend grew so much that Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort cracked down on cast members offering complimentary clothing to guests. Now, Disney Park guests caught violating the dress code must purchase their own alternative clothing or leave the park. After the policy change, the Disney dress code trend died down. Still, many Disney Park guests have gone viral for accidentally violating the attire rules and sharing their experience on social media. Last month, for example, a woman wasn’t allowed on an EPCOT ride she waited an hour for because she wore only a white sports bra and leggings to the park, without a shirt.Credit: Inside the MagicDays ago, another Walt Disney World Resort guest shared her experience being forced to change out of an inappropriate shirt. TikTok user @indimariee made it into the Magic Kingdom in her crop top, but appears to have been asked to change by a cast member inside the park.“Is this too much for a little Disney day?” the guest wrote alongside a video of herself in the original shirt in front of Cinderella Castle. @indimariee dress code is real #fyp ♬ original sound – Alix Earle “Well YES,” she added, showing a video of herself in Fantasyland in another black tank top.Credit: Brittany DiCologero, Inside the MagicWalt Disney World Resort’s dress code doesn’t mention crop tops or low-cut shirts. Still, it does prohibit “clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.” Every Disney cast member will interpret the rules differently, so if you’re unsure about your theme park outfit, it’s best to choose another one (or pack a backup). Was this guest’s outfit inappropriate for Walt Disney World Resort?
