I have 3 days in Johannesburg, we fly in on a Friday afternoon and I on Tuesday head to Cape Town in October. I have want to spend some time there city sight seeing, I would also like to see some of the animals. I know Kruger is deemed the better park but logistically and cost wise I’m not sure. What would you pick if you could do a day trip to either? I have two options 1) Friday sleep over in hotel in Johannesburg, Saturday morning leave early morning and drive to Pilanesberg, do a day tour and in evening drive back to hotel 2) Friday night drive to one of the camps outside Kruger and stay night early morning enter camp and at night drive back to Kruger I am trying to be cost effective and would like to see some of the big six.
