Rainfall persisted on Sunday, submerging areas across 19 districts in Assam, with the Barak Valley bearing the brunt of the flooding.According to a rainfall bulletin released by the India Meteorological Department on Sunday afternoon, Silchar in Cachar district recorded a staggering 42 cm of rainfall in the preceding 24 hours.
