Azruddin Mohamed seeking Ministers, Parliamentarians & other reps. in Reg. 8

Wait 5 sec.

Azruddin Mohamed, who launched his Presidential campaign this week, recently travelled to Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) and sought persons who could become Ministers, Parliamentarians, and other representatives. Charles Sugrim, who is part of Mr. Mohamed’s campaign team, was with the businessman in Region Eight, encouraging persons to join the party ahead of Nomination Day. In a video, Mr. Sugrim could be heard inviting persons interested in becoming Councillors, Parliamentarians, and Government Ministers to “make yourselves available.” Mr. Mohamed, whom the United States has sanctioned, recently announced that he is joining the Presidential race for this year’s General and Regional Elections. To successfully participate in the elections, Mr. Mohamed’s political party, like all other parties, must submit its symbol for approval and its Lists of Candidates: one National Top-Up List, at least six Geographical Constituencies’ Lists, and the Regional Democratic Councils’ Lists. The National Top-Up list, which identifies the Presidential candidate, must have at least 42 candidates and between 300 and 330 nominators countrywide. Each Geographical Constituency List must have between 150 and 175 nominators from each geographical constituency.  The post Azruddin Mohamed seeking Ministers, Parliamentarians & other reps. in Reg. 8 appeared first on News Room Guyana.
