I went to a trade school and got certified as a CNA, I worked at an assisted living working the night shift from 5pm to 5am by myself. Not even a nurse in the building, meaning I was also in charge of their meds. I made $10 an hour 🥲 I was only 18 at the time, this was my first job and I truly thought that was a good wage. That was 10 years ago now but with a lot more life and experience I realize I was taken advantage of hard.
