Not speeding but took a certain route that he wanted to get there before me.“When I did turn up, he’s like ‘well, what took you so long? Going to be the same on the board?’“Then he won the first set and tried to give it to me and I was fuming. He really did get in my head.”Their semi-final clash five years ago proved to be a heated affair following Wright’s pre-match antics.Price and Wright were involved in a heated semi-final at Alexandra PalaceRex FeaturesThe Welshman later apologised for refusing to shake hands after the matchGetty Images - GettyFollowing the first set incident, Price refused to shake hands at the end of the match. The Welshman took to social media afterwards, explaining: “Banter is acceptable but not when players are fully focused trying to do a job, having just bombed the first set.“I was upset with what Peter did and think it was out of order considering the circumstances.”He later apologised, though, writing: “I’ve had time to reflect on last night’s game.“I’ve been in this position before in games but never in a World Championship semi-final. I overreacted to what Peter did after set one.“I apologise to everyone who thinks I’ve done wrong and yeah maybe I was a bit OTT (over the top).” The world no.11 remains an animated figure on the oche, having starred in this season’s Premier League.Price picked up three nightly wins to reach finals night, where he was beaten in the semi-finals by Luke Littler at the O2 Arena. He is now set to return to the oche this weekend at the Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen.Fans can then see Price pair up with Jonny Clayton for Wales at next week’s World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
