A tourist vehicle carrying eleven individuals, including ten tourists and a driver, tragically plunged into the Teesta River in North Sikkim, resulting in one confirmed death and eight missing persons. Two critically injured survivors were rescued and are receiving medical treatment. Rescue operations are underway, involving multiple agencies, amidst challenging weather and terrain conditions to locate the remaining individuals.
