Delhi men end life in separate incidents by jumping into Yamuna river, bodies recovered

In the second incident, a 25-year-old man named Sameer jumped into the river at 6.40 am on Friday in the Yamuna Khadar area of Mayur Vihar.In separate incidents, two individuals died by jumping into the Yamuna River in different areas of East Delhi within a few hours’ gap, according to the police on Friday.The first incident occurred in the Shahdara area, where the Delhi Fire Services and East Delhi Boat Club teams fished out the body of a man identified as Vicky Kapoor, 46, a resident of Krishna Nagar in East Delhi, around 3 am on Friday.The police said that Kapoor allegedly decided to end his life due to family issues.“His body was handed over to Kotawali police station as the water area is not under the jurisdiction of Shahdara district,” a police officer said.In the second incident, a 25-year-old man named Sameer jumped into the river at 6.40 am on Friday in the Yamuna Khadar area of Mayur Vihar. “The Boat club team reached the spot, and the body was recovered within 20 minutes.
