What happened was I was walking and people try to touch me and I try to jump and touch them and I guess they pushed the barrier and it went up. “They almost kicked me in the head and knocked me out before I walked in.DAZNDvalishvili narrowly avoided disaster as a barrier collapsed at UFC 316[/caption]“The barrier got broke or something because people pushed and then security pushed me against the wall. “I was like ‘alright bro, I’m a fighter, let me go’. Thank God they told me after everything was good and nobody got hurt.“I saw what happened and I’m just a professional, there was nothing I could do at that time. “I cannot really help people, this happened and I had to make it to the octagon because I was fighting. I’m grateful [the fans love me].”It is not the first time that a potential safety breach and incident has happened at a huge UFC event.At UFC 289, Mike Mallott was also nearly wiped out by his own fans who fell through a collapsing barrier during his walk-on.Dvalishvili went on to retain his belt and win his clash with O’MalleyGettyLuckily both fighters have avoided any damage just moments before their fight.And UFC president Dana White has insisted it was yet another rare occurence.He added: “It was our second one in 25 years.“Everybody was hanging over the edge and it collapsed. “Everybody was alright, thank God, this one was a low one, not a high one.”
