Singer Ludwig Galea issued a stark warning to the Nationalist Party following yesterday’s dismal survey results, calling for a shift in strategy with MP Alex Borg taking a leading role.“The foundations of the PN are crumbling like an abandoned fortress,” he said.“Both the front-line leaders and those internally known as the ‘establishment’ must be completely dismantled, leaving only the Gozitan MP Dr. Alex Borg whose message is being heard, reached and working.”Galea warned that the PN has failed to come up with an innovative political narrative in its 13 years in Opposition beyond a desire to see Joseph Muscat and his wife behind bars.“Don’t get me wrong; no one is above the law but isn’t this former prime minister already paying prices for the ALLEGED accusations?” he questioned.“His name has been smeared worldwide, his children bullied and his father, who was constantly worried and hoping for justice, passed away before seeing any. And the list goes on.”“It’s time to move on and prioritise politics that focus on the well-being of the country and its people. Be an alternative, and if not, at least be a credible opposition.”“Disassociate yourselves from NGOs and former politicians who constantly preach negativity, hate, and entitlement… STOP supporting them.”“ People are tired of this nonsense and negativity. They want a serious opposition, an alternative, and a true democracy because, thanks to your misguided vision rooted in hate and the Muscats, democracy is no longer alive as there’s only ONE credible party.”Galea predicted that the PN’s turning point will come once “Muscat is acquitted from all charges” related to the Vitals deal as it could force them to shift their focus towards more constructive proposals for Malta.“We could debate this for ages, but the bottom line is that feeling superior, elitism, and negativity will always lead to disaster,” he said.“Wake up! Stop taking the defensive that the public are not understanding you. Be the public, listen to your people. Politicians are servants not masters.”•
