A delay in his return to Mumbai unexpectedly coincided with a medical emergency that required immediate travel.The patient, Sheetal Borde, a resident of Jalgaon district, was on her way to Mumbai for a scheduled kidney transplant. However, by the time she reached the airport, her commercial flight had already departed, leaving her distressed about the possibility of missing her critical surgery.According to officials, at that very moment, she learned that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s chartered plane was set to depart for Mumbai from the same airport. She shared her situation with some party workers present at the airport. They informed Minister Girish Mahajan, who then requested Deputy CM Shinde to allow the woman and her husband to travel with him to Mumbai.The Deputy CM agreed immediately, saying, “If needed, my two officers will stay back in Jalgaon, but I will definitely take my beloved sister with me to Mumbai,” Shinde reportedly told Mahajan. According to officials, when she learned that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s chartered plane was set to depart for Mumbai from the same airport, she shared her situation with some party workers present.
