The Millennium Grounds was alive with the vibrant spirit of Bakiga Nation on Sunday as it celebrated its 10th anniversary in style. Pilsner Lager, as the proud sponsor, infused the event with its bold, authentic energy, enhancing the festive atmosphere of this milestone occasion.  Thousands of guests gathered to celebrate Bakiga culture, heritage, and unity, with Pilsner welcoming everyone with free ice-cold beers, raising the mood from the very start. The celebration offered more than just music and food—it was a cultural immersion. The Pilsner Cultural Village, a specially curated experience, became a focal point for revelers.  The village was filled with traditional props and backdrops that allowed guests to engage with Bakiga culture in an interactive way. People eagerly posed with artefacts, played traditional drums, and captured the moment in photographs, all while immersed in the rhythms of Kikiga music. A Feast for the Senses The aroma of mouth-watering food filled the air, with a variety of food stalls offering everything from grilled meats and fast food to traditional local dishes like ebitakuri and enturiire.  The diverse flavours on offer were a testament to the rich cultural expressions and the essence of Bakiga Nation, highlighting the community's love for tradition and togetherness. Lillian Kansiime, the Pilsner Brand Representative, expressed the brand’s pride in supporting such an event.  “We are all about celebrating culture, heritage, and the spirit of home,” she said. “The pride and joy on display today aligns perfectly with our brand and our mission to champion authentic Ugandan experiences.” The excitement continued as cultural dance troupes took to the stage, showcasing the rhythm of Bakiga through intricate dance moves and energetic drumwork.  As the evening progressed, the stage shifted to mainstream performances, with Shine Omukiga thrilling the crowd in his native Rukiga. The grand finale, a stunning performance by Ray G, brought the day to a close, leaving the audience cheering for more. The 10th anniversary of Bakiga Nation served as a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of community and culture, with Pilsner Lager continuing to lead the charge in celebrating shared heritage.
