Ahead of its launch in August, a new trailer for Mafia: The Old Country debuted at Summer Game Fest 2025. Teased earlier this week, the new look at the game showed off protagonist Enzo Favara in a spot of trouble as he braced himself for some violence at his door. The trailer is titled "Loyalty is Everything," and it focuses on the importance of "family" (in the organized crime sense, of course) to Favara's fortunes. While centered on cinematics and storytelling, the trailer gives a sense of what it's like in Sicily in the early 20th century.Mafia: The Old Country is looking to be a budget-friendly dive back into the franchise, as developer Hangar 13 is aiming to deliver a "linear highly-polished narrative experience" that doesn't require significant time commitments. Because of this direction, the game is priced at $50 for its standard edition, but there is a $60 Deluxe Edition that bundles in bonus items, like special guns, outfits, and accessories.Set during the 1900s, Mafia: The Old Country follows Favara as he works to prove his worth to the Torrisi crime family. Having experienced a brutal childhood of forced labor, Favara will do anything to obtain a better life for himself, and the game will also chart the origins of organized crime in this gritty mob story.Hangar 13 has also worked to make Mafia: The Old Country look and sound like an authentic descent into Sicily’s clandestine criminal underworld, as the studio has worked to recreate the Sicilian countryside and culture of that time period.Mafia: The Old Country launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 8.
