JK Kazoora, a renowned media personality, has pledged to author an episode in his book in remembrance of his late childhood friend, Michael Bejamin Owori, popularly known as DJ Bush Baby.He says that he will make sure that the long three-hour interview he had with him turns into an episode in his book “My Conversations With JK,” which is all about the people he has interviewed.Bush Baby has been my brother. Though he had not written a book, I did a long three hour interview with him on Late Nights with JK.The next book I will be doing, I will make sure that the three hours we had, I turn them into an episode of him in the book I will author.JK Kazoora also reflected on his early life with DJ Bush Baby as a youth as they grew up together in Bugolobi flats. He recollected that Bush Baby is the person he remembers having started renting at a very tender age. Legendary deejay Michael Benjamin Owor, DJ Bush Baby, passes awayHe explained that he was forced to rent after both his parents rejected him at home because of his dreadlocks, which was considered a bad thing at the time.Kazoora also hinted that in his generation, Bush Baby was the first Ugandan entertainer to land a job at a media house outside Uganda, at East Africa TV and Radio. During his stay at the media outlet, he took a couple of Ugandan media personalities to work at the station while promoting Ugandan music. He further recommended Bush Baby for being instrumental in his career, remembering how he encouraged him to take him to work in Tanzania, but it didn’t work out because he was short on Kiswahili. The move forced Sir Gordon Wavamuno to give him a better pay cheque when he returned on WBS TV to host Jam Agenda.
