(File Photo)A 50-year old man on Thursday assaulted an advocate appearing on behalf of his wife in the court of a Tehsildar at Theog in Shimla and escaped.The victim, identified as advocate Vivek Shyam, lodged an FIR against the suspect identified as Hira Singh of Dhak Bagain village in Theog.Sources said Shyam was appearing on behalf of Hira’s wife Vidya Devi in a case of property dispute in the court of local Tehsildar when he started abusing and threatening the advocate.Later, when Shyam came out of the courtroom, Hira caught him from his neck, assaulted him and threatened him with dire consequences. Shyam said, “I was simply arguing in the courtroom when Hira Singh told me to not argue. The FIR was registered under the bailable offences. There were no injuries to the complainant advocate.
