Yesterday, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, people were expecting Samsung to unveil a Galaxy smartphone with a tri-folding display (rumoured to arrive as the Galaxy G Fold) alongside the other devices it launched, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 8, and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Well, the brand has finally broken its silence on the matter and revealed when it plans to launch the device.According to Business Korea, Samsung held a press conference at a hotel in Brooklyn, New York after Galaxy Unpacked, where, Samsung Electronics DX Division’s Head, Roh Tae-Moon, revealed that the South Korean tech giant plans to release the tri-fold phone this year, meaning that it may arrive by December 2025. That’s not all though. He also said that the brand hasn’t decided a name for the device yet, and it will make that decision soon as the launch is near.Samsung tri-fold phone will arrive by December 2025Roh’s exact words were “We are working hard with the goal of launching the tri-fold phone when its level of completion and usability are secured. We will be able to release the product within this year. You can look forward to it. We have not yet decided on the launch name for the tri-fold phone.
