(Photo/X)In the last leg of his eight-day and five-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Namibia on Tuesday in what is the first visit by an India PM in 27 years.In Namibia, Modi will meet President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and “chart a new roadmap for cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples, regions and the wider Global South,” the PM said. Modi will also address a joint session of the Namibian Parliament.During the visit, there will also be an agreement to introduce India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in the African country. The UPI system is already active in other foreign countries, including Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, France and the UAE.Prior to visiting Namibia, Modi had travelled to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina and Brazil.
