Hyderabad hospital launches AI-powered robotic surgery system

Care Hospitals, Hyderabad on Wednesday, July 9 unveiled the AI-powered Stryker Mako Robotic System, which will assist in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgeries.The system combines 3D CT-based surgical planning with real-time intraoperative guidance and haptic feedback, allowing for highly personalised surgeries with minimal tissue damage and improved implant positioning. The system is expected to reduce post-operative pain, shorten hospital stays, and enable faster recovery, said a release.Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Gottemukkala Ashok Raju, Clinical Director at the hospital, highlighted how the system blends technology with clinical skill. “The system helps us combine human expertise with robotic precision.
