Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy M17 and the Galaxy M17e. The Galaxy M17 was launched with One UI 7 onboard, while the Galaxy M17e debuted with One UI 8 pre-installed. For the Galaxy M17, the update comes bearing firmware version M176BXXU5CZE9. The update for both phones has a download size of around 3GB and includes the May 2026 security patch.If you have either of these phones and live in India, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. The Device Care information screen has more practical battery information. You can set early alerts for reminders and add tables to Samsung Internet. Samsung Internet has a new deisgn for the New Tab page. The Calculator app now proactively suggests numbers for calculations based on your clipboard's content.
