Cindy Sanyu has revealed that her disagreements with fellow singer Bruno K during the height of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) wrangles nearly escalated into a physical confrontation.Speaking during an interview on Galaxy FM, the UMA president dismissed ongoing rumors that the two artists’ organizations are still at odds, explaining that the tensions that once existed have since been resolved.According to Cindy, the relationship between UMA and UNMF was particularly strained about two years ago, when disagreements between members of the two organizations frequently erupted during meetings.We don’t have issues anymore but for two years we were actually at each other’s necks to a point where we almost had a physical fight with Bruno K.The singer explained that the near altercation happened during one of the heated discussions involving artists from both camps as they debated issues concerning the music industry.At the time, UMA was already an established body representing musicians, while UNMF had just been formed and boasted several of the country’s biggest music stars among its members. This, she noted, created an environment where both sides struggled to find common ground.Cindy claimed that members of the newly formed federation often looked down upon UMA, while her organization was equally unwilling to back down, leading to constant friction.They despised us so much and we also didn’t want to listen so that caused a clash amidst us.The tensions reportedly became so intense that Cindy and Bruno K nearly exchanged blows.
