JAK inhibitors and endo improvements, anyone else?

Wait 5 sec.

Hi! I have suspected endometriosis (have not had surgery) but had symptoms that started after my 3rd C-section that eventually progressed into debilitating pain and a wide array of symptoms that my wonderful OB attributed to endo. I have a complex autoimmune history with Crohn’s, spondylitis, Graves and Celiac for over 25 years. I did years of standard treatment including 11 years of various Anti-TNF. My endo symptoms were progressively worse and we started talking surgery and management as I can’t take hormonal meds due to a DVT history on the pill. And then I recently had to switched from Anti-TNF to JAk inhibitor. Within 2 cycles I started having a major improvement of my symptoms. I was absolutely confused why I was able to get through a cycle without pounding NSAIDs for the first time in YEARS. Didn’t connect the dots, thought it was a fluke and then on cycle 3 I started digging as I felt better than ever and saw that JAK inhibitors are in the early stage of being tested for endo lesion regression. Anyone else on JaK experienced something similar to an extend? I just can’t understand how I went from severe pain to barely anything and it’s the only change I’ve had in my meds/diet/etc. submitted by /u/Particular_Floor_716 [link] [comments]
