28f recently had a pelvic ultrasound with the below findings of Adenomyosis and possibly endo? CONCLUSION: Adenomyosis of the uterus. No ultrasound features to suggest PCOS. The ovaries appear to be adherent to the uterus. A little bit of background, I had incredibly painful and debilitating periods as a young teenager, I would cry, vomit and sleep for days unable to get out of bed during my period. At 15-16yo I went on the depo provera jab which stopped my period almost completely, I fell pregnant when I was 21 but did not continue the pregnancy, no ultrasound reports or info about that except bloods that confirmed hcg. I changed to Yasmin ocp around 21yo as well, no issues with my period. About 15 months ago I stopped taking my contraceptive, pretty mild period symptoms after stopping contraceptive but long cycles usually between 33-40 days and my last period was incredibly painful like they were when I was a teenager. I went to the GP and discussed PCOS as I also have quite persistent hormonal acne. Bloods were normal but pelvic ultrasound findings suggested Adenomyosis and what I think could be signs of Endo with the adherent ovaries. I'm going back to the GP in a few days to discuss the ultrasound findings and I'm really just wanting to know what questions I should be asking her at this follow up. My partner and I are planning on ttc in the next year or so and I'm scared of what the future holds. Sorry if I've missed anything or given to much info! Feel free to ask me any questions! submitted by /u/Lemon_The_Cat_NZ [link] [comments]
