My newborn son did the same so I covered his parts with a double folded washcloth. Maybe it’s just me, maybe I’m getting old or whatever, but I had my kiddo in 1981 when I was a broke enlisted Navy wife. No way could I have afforded any of the spendy gizmos that are out now. A breast pump would have been useful. Other than that, the other moms in our group and I made do, swapped ideas, and helped each other. I used cloth diapers until he had to go to daycare. That saved a lot of money.
