Inter Milan have made their move to beat Premier League teams to the signing of Marco Palestra. The right-back is Inter’s top target to replace Denzel Dumfries, who is closing in on a transfer to Real Madrid. The Spanish side have activated the €20m release clause in Dumfries’ deal at the San Siro.Palestra shone last season on loan at Cagliari from Atalanta, where he was named Serie A’s Best Defender for the 2025/26 campaign. The 21-year-old scored once and provided four assists from wing-back and earned his first caps for Italy in March. Atalanta have informed the Serie A champions that that figure is not enough to get a deal done. However, Inter will need to move quickly to secure a deal with several Premier League teams, including Liverpool, tracking the defender.Read – The favourites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Golden BallSee more – The five favourites to win the 2026 World Cup Golden BootFollow the Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post Inter Milan move to beat Premier League clubs to Palestra first appeared on The Football Faithful.
