Two inter-State property offenders arrested, ₹38 lakh stolen jewellery recovered - The HinduPublished - June 04, 2026 08:07 pm IST - CHITTOOR:Hareesh P _12232Police arrested two inter-State property offenders who were involved in a burglary that occurred in the Mitturu area of Chittur town and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth ₹38 lakhs from them.When the family members of N.P. Gautham Kiran, a resident of the Mitturu area, were away from home, unidentified persons broke into the house and stole gold and silver ornaments. A case was registered at the Chittoor I Town Police Station and an investigation was initiated.Through the analysis of evidence found at the crime scene, technical data, and other clues, the police identified the offenders as Perumallu Krishna and his son Krishna Santhosh Kumar, hailing from Tamil Nadu. Presently, the duo were residing in a rented house in Korlagunta area of Tirupati city.The accused were arrested on Thursday near the Swami Vivekananda statue in the Kattamananchi area of Chittoor town.
