A Brigham Young University study led by Professor Laura Padilla-Walker followed 395 families with at least one child between 10 and 14 and found that the link between sibling affection and good deeds was twice as strong as the link between parenting and good deeds. Brothers and sisters, it seems, teach each other kindness and generosity in ways no one else in the family can.
