[HIRING] Logo for Local Cardboard, a site for finding trading cards at local game stores. Budget: $100-150

Hi all! I'm looking for a logo designer for a project I'm working on called **Local Cardboard** (localcardboard.com). Note: the website isn't up and running yet, it's a WIP! :) **What it is:** A free website that shows the stock of TCG singles pulled from local stores in a player's area. Currently the scope is MTG cards (I play myself and am familiar with what a player looks for when buying for that game), with a small pilot in my local area, but it will cover other TCGs in the future. The appeal of large online card stores is accessibility, i'm aiming to bring that accessibility to local shops. It is not a storefront itself. Links will be provided for the user to buy from their local shop directly, and I take no cut from this. **Where I'm at:** Very early stages. It's just me, no company, and the website is still being built. Getting the logo right early on is very important to me, because it will help shape future design decisions. **Art direction:** Wide open. I would love to see your take on the concept and name. Cardboard (slang for TCG cards) is obviously very boring and bland, but what isn't is the amazing art contained within. What drew me into Magic specifically was the absolutely incredible art. I could not wrap my mind around the sheer scale and quality across all of it. Admiring the art was my first love of the game; actually playing was secondary for me. I want to bring that vibe to the logo and the design of the website. Something recognizable and functional, but not distracting from the thousands of hours of work contained on the cards within. **Needs to work as:** A full "Local Cardboard" logo, as well as a logo mark (favicon / social profile). **Deliverables:** - Vector files (SVG/AI) - PNG exports - A one-color version - [number] initial concepts and [number] revisions **Budget:** $100-150 **Timeline:** No timeline at the moment, very flexible **ABSOLUTELY NO AI!** submitted by /u/Rrony2012 [link] [comments]
