The holiday season is quickly approaching at Walt Disney World Resort, and guests hoping to celebrate Christmas at Magic Kingdom may want to finalize their plans sooner rather than later.Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains one of Disney World’s most popular seasonal events, bringing festive entertainment, special character appearances, holiday treats, and plenty of Christmas decorations to the theme park. However, securing tickets is becoming more difficult as the event approaches.Credit: DisneySeveral party nights have already reached capacity, including dates in both November and December. With the first celebration just weeks away, guests now have fewer opportunities to experience the festivities. The good news? There are still several dates available for families planning a holiday visit. As of October 16, 2026, 17 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates remain available, giving guests options throughout November and December. However, eight nights have already sold out, and additional dates could disappear as the holiday season gets closer. Here’s a complete look at the remaining dates, which nights are already unavailable, and what guests should know before purchasing tickets.17 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates Are Still AvailableMickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially begins November 8, 2026, and continues on select evenings through December 22.Disney has scheduled 25 party nights for the season, but tickets are no longer available for eight of those events. That leaves 17 dates for guests who haven’t purchased their tickets.According to the latest availability information reported on October 16, the following nights remain available for purchase.November 2026 available dates:Sunday, November 8Sunday, November 15Thursday, November 19Friday, November 20Wednesday, November 25Friday, November 27Sunday, November 29December 2026 available dates:Thursday, December 3Friday, December 4Sunday, December 6Tuesday, December 8Thursday, December 10Friday, December 11Sunday, December 13Tuesday, December 15Thursday, December 17Friday, December 18For families visiting during Thanksgiving week, November 25 and November 27 remain available, although those dates could attract considerable interest because of the holiday travel period.Credit: Jess Colopy, Inside the MagicGuests planning a December vacation also have several options, including weekday and weekend celebrations. However, December 18 is currently the latest available party date. The final two celebrations of the season have already sold out. While these dates were available as of October 16, ticket inventory can change without much warning. Guests should confirm availability through Disney World’s official ticketing website before making their plans.Eight Christmas Party Dates Have Already Sold OutAlthough Disney still has more than half of its scheduled party nights available, the number of sold-out events continues growing. The latest date to reach capacity is November 13, which became the eighth sold-out night of the 2026 season. That brings the number of unavailable November celebrations to five, while three December dates have also sold out.The complete list of sold-out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates includes:Monday, November 9Thursday, November 12Friday, November 13Tuesday, November 17Tuesday, November 24Tuesday, December 1Sunday, December 20Tuesday, December 22The December sellouts are particularly important for families planning vacations close to Christmas. Both December 20 and December 22 are unavailable, meaning guests hoping to attend during the final days of the event will need to reconsider their plans.December 22 also marks the final scheduled Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of 2026.The fact that tickets have already disappeared for several dates suggests that demand remains strong for Disney’s holiday celebration.Still, guests shouldn’t assume every remaining party will immediately sell out. Ticket demand can vary depending on the date, travel patterns, and individual vacation schedules. For now, visitors still have opportunities to attend, but waiting could limit their choices. How Much Do Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets Cost? One important detail guests should consider before selecting a date is the price.Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party requires a separate admission ticket, meaning regular Magic Kingdom admission does not automatically include access to the event. For the 2026 season, ticket prices for guests ages 10 and older range from $189 to $229, depending on the selected night.Children between the ages of 3 and 9 receive a $10 discount on the applicable ticket price.Credit: Rob Bixby, FlickrEligible Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members may also qualify for discounted admission on select dates. However, not every party night carries the same price, and the availability of discounts depends on Disney’s eligibility requirements. For a family of four with two adults and two children ages 10 or older, admission alone could cost between $756 and $916 before any applicable taxes or additional expenses. That makes Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party a significant addition to an already expensive Disney World vacation.Guests should compare available dates carefully, particularly if they have flexibility in their travel schedules.Choosing a less expensive party night could make a noticeable difference for larger families. What Time Does Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begin?Although Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, guests with valid party tickets can enter Magic Kingdom earlier.Disney allows party ticket holders to enter the park beginning at 4 p.m., giving visitors several additional hours to enjoy attractions and explore the holiday decorations before the festivities officially begin. This early entry window can be especially valuable for families who aren’t planning to purchase a separate daytime Magic Kingdom ticket.Credit: Antonio Thomás Koenigkam Oliveira, FlickrRather than arriving at 7 p.m., guests can enter three hours earlier and take advantage of some of the park’s regular attractions. That also provides additional time to grab dinner, take photos, and get familiar with the park before the party entertainment begins.Once the event officially starts, guests can focus on the exclusive holiday experiences that make Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party different from a regular Magic Kingdom visit. With only five official party hours, arriving early could help families make better use of their tickets. What Entertainment Is Returning for the 2026 Christmas Party? One of the biggest reasons guests purchase Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets is the special entertainment. While Magic Kingdom celebrates the holidays throughout November and December, the separately ticketed event offers experiences that aren’t necessarily available during regular operating hours.Disney has confirmed several returning entertainment offerings for 2026.Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will return, bringing beloved Disney characters, festive floats, holiday music, and Santa Claus through Magic Kingdom. The parade has become a major part of the event, offering families an opportunity to experience a Christmas celebration along the park’s familiar parade route.Another returning favorite is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. This nighttime spectacular combines fireworks, holiday music, and festive effects above Cinderella Castle, creating one of the evening’s signature moments.Guests can also look forward to Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a holiday stage show featuring Disney characters and Christmas entertainment.Beyond these major productions, the party traditionally includes seasonal treats, special character greetings, and additional holiday experiences throughout Magic Kingdom.Specific offerings and schedules can vary, so visitors should review Disney’s official entertainment information closer to their party date. For families attending primarily for the entertainment, planning around parade times, fireworks, and stage performances will be particularly important.Should Guests Wait Before Purchasing Christmas Party Tickets? With 17 party dates still available, some guests may wonder whether they should purchase tickets immediately or wait until closer to their vacation. The answer largely depends on how flexible their travel plans are.Families visiting Disney World for only a few days may have just one opportunity to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. If that date sells out, finding another available celebration could require changing an entire vacation itinerary.Guests with more flexibility have additional options, especially if they can choose between multiple November or December nights. However, the current sellouts demonstrate that even dates earlier in the season aren’t guaranteed to remain available.November 9, for example, has already sold out despite being one of the earliest celebrations.Credit: DisneyMeanwhile, November 13 recently joined the unavailable dates, showing that tickets continue disappearing as the event approaches. For guests who know they want to attend, purchasing tickets before their preferred date reaches capacity may be the safest approach. It is also important to remember that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets are separate from regular theme park admission.Guests should review Disney’s ticket terms, cancellation policies, and event details before completing their purchases.Disney World Has Another Christmas Event AvailableMickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party isn’t the only separately ticketed holiday celebration taking place at Walt Disney World this year.Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also host Disney Jollywood Nights, giving visitors another opportunity to experience seasonal entertainment in a different setting.Unlike the Magic Kingdom event, Jollywood Nights focuses on a different style of holiday celebration, with entertainment and experiences centered around Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As of October 16, tickets remain available for all scheduled 2026 Jollywood Nights dates. That gives guests another option if their preferred Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party night is already sold out. However, the two celebrations offer different experiences, so families should consider which event better matches their interests before making a decision. For those who specifically want the Magic Kingdom Christmas parade, Cinderella Castle fireworks, and traditional holiday atmosphere, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains the event to prioritize.More Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates Could Sell Out SoonDisney World’s 2026 holiday season is approaching quickly, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets are already becoming harder to secure for certain nights. With eight dates sold out and 17 remaining, guests still have several opportunities to attend the popular celebration.Credit: DisneyNovember offers seven available dates, while December currently has 10.However, families planning visits during Thanksgiving week or closer to Christmas should pay particularly close attention to availability. The final party on December 22 has already sold out, along with December 20, leaving December 18 as the latest available celebration. For now, guests can still choose from several dates throughout the holiday season. But with additional sellouts possible, anyone hoping to celebrate Christmas at Magic Kingdom may want to secure their preferred night before the remaining options become even more limited. The post Magic Kingdom Confirms Gates Will Close to Public on 8 Dates in Late 2026 appeared first on Inside the Magic.
