I spent the last months building an iOS app called ember. I'm a first-year CS student in Italy and I built the whole thing myself — the app, the backend, the native audio engine, the payments. The idea is simple: most journaling apps are a blank page. This one answers you. You write what's in your head, it writes back something short, and the next time you open it, it remembers what you told it before. That last part is the piece people react to. It's been live for two weeks. The hard part turned out not to be the code — it's that I have no audience and no clue how to get one. My first video got almost no views. Happy to answer anything about the build (Capacitor + Supabase + Claude API, if that's useful to anyone). And if you try it, I'd rather hear what feels useless than what feels nice. submitted by /u/Carnage554 [link] [comments]
