I built a minimal, read-only photo viewer for Mac

Wait 5 sec.

I’m a product manager, and I built Nik’s Photo Viewer with help from Codex to make browsing photos from Finder simpler. Features: One resizable window, with no editing tools. Left/Right arrows to browse images in the same folder. Up/Down arrows for smooth zooming, plus a slider and +/− buttons. Fit-to-window mode and 20–200% manual zoom. Filename, full path, creation date, file size, and “Photo x of y.” Common formats including JPG, PNG, HEIC, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and WebP. It’s a native Swift app for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 26+, and the source is open under the MIT license. GitHub: photo-viewer-macos Would this fit your workflow? What would you improve while keeping it minimal? submitted by /u/roadstercraft [link] [comments]
