Violators face a fine of ₹1,000 under the provisions cited by the traffic police.Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), D. Joel Davis, said the department was following a zero-tolerance policy towards such violations, pointing out that unauthorised sirens could disrupt traffic movement and delay genuine emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire engines. The police said similar enforcement drives would be conducted regularly across Hyderabad to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.Motorists have been advised against installing or using unauthorised sirens and multi-tone horns and urged to cooperate with enforcement personnel.Published - October 18, 2026 12:35 am ISTSign in to unlock member-only benefits!Access 10 free stories every monthSave stories to read laterAccess to comment on every storySign-up/manage your newsletter subscriptions with a single clickGet notified by email for early access to discounts & offers on our products${ ind + 1 } ${ device }Last active - ${ la }
