The Union Cabinet is set to take up a proposal on productivity-linked bonus for railway employees. Non-gazetted railway employees currently receive Rs 17,951, calculated using a wage ceiling of Rs 7,000 for 78 days. The move comes amid demands to raise the ceiling and increase the annual bonus payout.
