I am not american, I am a nurse in Germany and so many instructors are abusing their position friggin' people. I dont know what you guys have to deal with in america, but here the instructors are just giving grades based on how well you get along privatly and if you have the same opinion on stuff they have. If you drink a beer with them after shift it's a free good grade. If they are weird asf and dont like you for whatever reason your grade will be bad on that unit no matter if its true or not. Not talking about all the exams during school, the school itself, the shifts, the older nurses not getting u during break and sending the students to the patients that call, the whole environment. Glad I am done and working as a nightshift nurse no managers, I am alone during my shift, my patients are mostly sleeping and I get paid well with night differential and I work 5 nights 7 off the whole time. But I swear if I had to do nursing school again I'd cry. It has to be one of the darkest chapters I experienced in my whole damn life and not a single moment was fun. Teachers sucked, instructors sucked, most older nurses I had to shadow sucked, it all was bad. Nothing good to say about this.. Then the teacher from nursing school comes to shadow me and asks me why I do this how I am doing that and says we didnt learn it like that in school. I am like wtf where am I suppose to learn it correctly, all the nurses I follow did it like this so I do it like that too. submitted by /u/Grogon2 [link] [comments]
