Sudharshan Reddy, a committee led by chairman Pulipati Rajesh Kumar highlighted the confusion faced by young graduates employed in the IT, IT-enabled services, financial and corporate sectors over their eligibility and the procedure for enrolment.They said many graduates working in Hyderabad were uncertain about the registration process as they continued to be registered as ordinary voters in their hometowns while residing temporarily in the city for employment.The committee sought clarification on the use of Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) details in Form 18 applications, the criteria for determining the relevant Graduates’ Constituency and the conditions under which temporary residence could be treated as ordinary residence.It also urged the CEO to specify the documents that employees living in rented accommodation could submit as proof of residence, including rental agreements, residence certificates issued by employers’ human resources departments and local utility bills.The committee further sought clarity on the eligibility of graduates who had migrated from other States and the procedure for submitting Form 18 applications.It requested the CEO’s office to issue comprehensive guidelines or publish frequently asked questions (FAQs) addressing these issues to help eligible graduates complete the registration process without confusion.Published - October 18, 2026 06:41 pm ISTSign in to unlock member-only benefits!Access 10 free stories every monthSave stories to read laterAccess to comment on every storySign-up/manage your newsletter subscriptions with a single clickGet notified by email for early access to discounts & offers on our products${ ind + 1 } ${ device }Last active - ${ la }
