More entertainment for guests in this post. I have always loved when weddings have photo booths or a photo area setup to take group pictures and take them home. We are eloping and then having a 4 hr. Reception at a bowling alley. We are possibly just going to have a friend take pics for an hour or two at the reception as I only want a few pics. I am not that into having hundreds of pics to choose from or purchase. I still would like guests to be involved in having memories for the reception. Actual photo booth rentals are way out of our budget. I have looked into the rentable photo setups that come with a printer, such as KRUU. They look easy and seem to have pretty good reviews. They are around $400. They can be taken home and also accessed after reception in a downloaded folder. But I have been seeing ads on guests using a QR code and using their phones to take pics that end up in a folder also. Some have a small fee. I have also read about others making their own QR code and everything goes to a Google drive folder. Which is the $0 option. But seems like more work. I feel like people use their phones for pics anyways so it might be guest friendly. And there are a lot of cool photo options at the bowling alley. My request for advice is as a wedding guest, possible renters of photo setup or QR code users, what did you like best? Did you like taking hard copy pics home with you? Did you prefer the ease of the QR code on phone ? Or was it something that ended up not being used as the night went on? And if the QR code was chosen, how were the pics after? submitted by /u/Old_Youngin to r/Weddingsunder10k [link] [comments]
