She is set to perform at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on November 7.Last month, Rosé spoke to Vogue about her upcoming second solo album, which is set to come out sometime in 2027. It’s a work in progress, she said, but the process genuinely excites her.“I’ve been working on new music for quite some time now, and I’m still in the process of finding the perfect fine line between the world I want to create, how much of that expresses who I am today, and who I, personally and as a musician, am evolving into,” she said. “I’m excited to see where this journey continues to take me, what sort of sound resonates [with] me, and to introduce a new era of my music next year.”In the meantime, her single “New Trick,” released last month, marks a different type of song for her. When she wrote it in May, she told her collaborator Amy Allen that she “hadn’t been able to relate to or write sad songs lately…which was a crazy thing to say, after how addicted I was to writing sad song after sad song for my Rosie album.”“New Trick” is a brighter track: “I loved being that girl and channeling that energy in the studio, which felt as if I was channeling that girl into myself,” she said. “The energy and thrill it was giving me, I was so excited to share that with the world.”
