My drives were completely full. Turns out most of it was leftovers from building stuff. node_modules, .next, dist, build, Gradle, Rust target, Python venvs, all sitting in old projects. Everyone's vibe coding now so most of us have loads of projects lying around. I reckon a big chunk of our disk space is just this. So I spent a few hours with Claude Code and built StackSweep, just for fun. It scans a folder or a whole drive, works out each project's stack and marks every folder Safe, Review or Blocked. Nothing gets deleted until you tick it and confirm. It never touches anything committed to git, so your source code stays put. Ran it on my own drives and freed around 200GB ⬇️ Free and open source (MIT), Windows only for now: https://github.com/mehrabsha/dev-cache-cleaner If something's missing tell me and I'll add it :) submitted by /u/Background_Net9892 [link] [comments]
