Before I start, yes I’m looking for a new job. I started a year ago on a OP procedural unit. Let’s just say it’s a cath lab. Manager also manages Endo. Recently she started forcing 2-3 of us to float to this train wreck of an Endo dept, that has no charge, no organization, and literally 1 nurse who has been there 2 years but is a new grad. She has expected for us to just learn the lay of the land with minimal guidance. The doctors are late, patients come whenever. Manager tells us to come at a different time everyday. We leave way past our schedules at least 1-2 times a week. When we vocalize our concerns and the fact that we’re uncomfortable with working there she tells us it’s in our job description to cross train (which I’m yet to see). The other day she told me I don’t have to look so miserable just because I’m in Endo. She basically told another nurse that she gossips too much, Etc. I just don’t feel like her approach is acceptable. She is extremely difficult to talk to, she always had a rebuttal when we express our concerns. Basically not trying to hear anything at alll from us. I’ve been trying my best to hold my tounge but it’s getting old and everyone here is miserable. It’s hard even to get a day off cause she doesn’t have Endo staff so she says nobody can cover us cause they’re not endo trained . submitted by /u/FalseAd8496 [link] [comments]
