Indian pharmaceutical company NATCO Pharma annouced the launch of Carboplatin Injection, a generic version of Paraplatin in the US market by its American subsidiary. The subsidiary would collaborate in manufacturing with Chennai-based Tero Labs Pvt Ltd. The launch is aimed at meeting the shortage of the drug. Carboplatin is directed towards the treatment of advanced ovarian carcinoma, including first-line combination therapy and palliative treatment of recurrent disease after prior chemotherapy.
