Madison – The Wisconsin State Elections Director is reporting a 30% drop in absentee ballot requests for the November 3, 2026, election this week compared to the 2022 midterm election.  The 2022 Wisconsin Midterm Election for governor was decided by approximately 90,000 votes out of a total of over 2.6 million ballots that were cast with a registered voter turnout (RVT) of over 77%.A closer look at the Wisconsin State Elections Director’s difference in absentee ballot request data between 2026 and 2022 will reflect the following:A total of 493,039 absentee ballots were requested and sent in 2022, including online requests, indefinitely confined requests, in-person requests at the Clerk’s Office, and mail requests.A total of 347,984 absentee ballots have been requested through October 12, 2026.The difference, 145,055, represents a drop of 30% in absentee ballot requests between 2026 and 2022. Wisconsin election law is very liberal and generous for those who want to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to them. In addition to being very liberal and generous for those who want to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them, Wisconsin election law is also very respectful to those individuals that are considered ‘indefinitely confined’ by having absentee ballots automatically mailed to them that don’t require photo ID to submit the ballot or the signing of the poll book. All absentee ballot certificate envelopes in Wisconsin must be signed and dated by the elector and the elector’s witness, who must provide an address. The Wisconsin State Elections Director reported a 0.002 error/rejection rate for the 2 million absentee ballots cast in the 2020 Wisconsin Presidential Election or approximately 4,000 ballots when the national error/rejection rate for absentee ballots is easily in the 2% range.  Democrat operatives have openly abused the ‘indefinitely confined’ election law in Wisconsin for years that ultimately required the Wisconsin Supreme Court to issue an emergency ruling that blocked democrat attempts to further bloat the WisVote database with individuals claiming ‘indefinitely confined’ status when they weren’t eligible to do so. The Wisconsin State Elections Director reported in early 2021 that the ‘indefinitely confined’ designated electors in the WisVote database had exploded from approximately 60,000 in 2019/2020 to approximately 270,000 by November of 2020 with approximately 220,000 of them having a ballot processed for them without photo ID or signing a poll book during the Wisconsin Presidential Election. Fortunately, the 270,000 ‘indefinitely confined’ number has dropped substantially to its current level of 152,368 according to the Wisconsin State Elections Director. The drop-off in absentee ballot mailing requests will undoubtedly negatively affect democrat turnout, as they are the party that heavily relies on absentee voting to boost their candidates.  It is hoped that this dramatic drop-off will ultimately result in the proper respect being shown for those individuals who actually are ‘indefinitely confined’ and ought to be accommodated by having an absentee ballot mailed to them with proper verification to avoid throwing the hard-working Clerks and their staff under the bus when things go sideways. The post REPORT: 2026 Absentee Ballot Requests Down 30% in Wisconsin Compared to 2022 appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
