Noni Madueke remains an important member of Arsenal’s squad, but his standing is less convincing when the focus shifts to the team’s most effective performers. He offers pace and the ability to take on defenders, yet his contribution in the final third has not always matched his talent.Mikel Arteta is clearly a fan of the English winger and is likely to continue giving him opportunities when space opens up in the team. That can happen when Bukayo Saka is injured or needs to be rested, allowing Madueke to step into the side.Madueke needs to improve his final deliveryThat situation arose in the Champions League this week, when Madueke produced a good performance but was again let down by a familiar weakness. He can beat his marker and create room to deliver a cross, yet the quality of that final ball remains inconsistent. His delivery is often overhit or underhit when he tries to pick out a teammate or create a scoring opportunity. That lack of precision can limit the value of his work on the wing, especially when Arsenal need their wide players to turn promising positions into chances.(Photo by James Fearn/Getty Images)Dowman could challenge for his placeMadueke’s place could become harder to secure as Max Dowman pushes for more first-team minutes. Dowman is still raw, but his progress could increase competition if Madueke does not address the weaknesses in his game.As reported by the Daily Mail, Isaan Khan believes the young player could put pressure on Madueke in the coming months. Khan wrote:“With Max Dowman waiting in the wings — he made a short cameo after 85 minutes — Madueke will be watching over his shoulder. He can ill afford not to step up, otherwise his place could well be taken in the coming months.”Madueke has the ability to remain a useful option for Arsenal, but he needs to become more consistent with his final ball. With competition developing within the squad, improving that part of his game could prove important to his chances of earning regular minutes under Arteta._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
