India's data-centre capacity may increase to 24-26 GW, which is substantially higher than the current capacity. However, this growth will still represent a limited portion of overall electricity demand. The Central Electricity Authority has accounted for this expected rise in future power projections. Alongside, the renewable energy capacity is aimed to reach approximately 800 GW by 2035-36.
