No Justice.”The event, held outside the European Parliament’s Altiero Spinelli building, centred on three messages: “Truth Matters. Journalism Matters. Accountability Matters.”Daphne was assassinated in a car bombing in Bidnija on 16th October 2017. Although several people have been convicted for their involvement in the murder, nobody has been convicted of commissioning it.The anniversary follows the September acquittal of businessman Yorgen Fenech, who had been accused of complicity in her murder. The Attorney General subsequently appealed the verdict.Nine years on, press freedom organisations continue to call for full accountability and stronger protections for journalists in Malta.•
