Wait 5 sec.

Diesel costs $6.5/gallon, and I get 13 MPG empty, at 60 MPH. So, fuel is going to cost 50 cents a mile, one way. Since they listed time instead of miles, we'll guess based on freeway travel... 5 1/2 hours at 70mph = 385 miles. So, $385 round trip for just fuel, if there is no trailer, and the truck isn't heavily loaded, and we drive 10 under the speedlimit. If they want to go at 70, the truck drops to 8MPG. A trailer adds wind resistance, and that kills mileage rapidly. 6MPG at 60mph On a 12 foot x 6 foot enclosed haulmark. If they want to go 70, its 4 MPG. Basically, they're looking at $1.20/mile one way for just fuel, and unlike these assclowns who have all the time in the world, I value my free time much higher than my paid-work hours, so I'd want triple OT to cover my time. If they were smart, they'd rent a truck from enterprise, a trailer from Uhaul, and return them both to the same place they rented them. Trailers are only like 50 bux a day if you keep it local, and enterprise has unlimited mileage.
