Walt Disney World Resort is pressing full steam ahead with the repainting of the restroom area inspired by Tangled (2010) in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. Here’s how this refurbishment project could affect your next visit to the original Central Florida Disney park.Tangled Area Replacement at the Magic KingdomCredit: Kelly C., Inside the MagicThe mural above the entrance to the women’s restroom in the Tangled-inspired area at Magic Kingdom Park was repainted in the summer of 2025. However, unrelenting sunshine and infamous Central Florida thunderstorms battered the artwork over the past year, and Walt Disney World Resort has recently begun refurbishing it.Just a few weeks ago, the colorful, floral-inspired mural was chipped and faded. But on October 19, WDWNT reported that the section of the mural above the arch-shaped entrance to the women’s restroom has been refreshed and appears complete. The outlet shared this photo on social media:The portion of the mural that extends onto the sidewalk from the lower portion of the tower, which appeared most worn from repeated foot traffic by Magic Kingdom Park guests, is incomplete. The area is currently blocked by a few rolling planters as cast members repaint that section of the mural. What Central Florida Disney Park Guests Need to KnowCredit: Sarah Larson, Inside the MagicDespite the ongoing refurbishment, the Tangled restrooms at Magic Kingdom Park remain open. Guests entering the women’s bathroom may have to wait for others to enter and exit due to the decreased square footage in the area, caused by the rolling planters covering the lower portion of the mural.Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t commented publicly on this refurbishment project in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. This isn’t unusual; Disney rarely acknowledges maintenance that doesn’t force attractions, restaurants, shops, or other guest amenities to close. What do you think about the repainted Tangled (2010) bathrooms at the Magic Kingdom?
