A happy-hour listing can look complete and still give someone the wrong answer for the day they’re planning to visit. BO-beau kitchen + roof tap in Long Beach is a good example. Its menu lists Wednesday–Friday, 5–6:30 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday, 4–6 p.m. Combining those into “Wednesday–Sunday, 4–6:30 p.m.” would create hours when the advertised offer doesn’t apply. A few useful checks for anyone building a directory: Keep each group of days paired with its actual time window. Keep different locations’ information separate. Include restrictions such as bar-only seating or holiday exclusions. Make the original menu or website easy to reach. Flag conflicting information instead of guessing. It’s a small detail, but “Will this information help someone make the right plan?” seems like a useful quality check alongside the number of listings. How do you handle schedule exceptions in your own projects? I’m working through details like this for After Five, a happy-hour directory I built.
