A Chrome extension idea for pointing out UI changes to your coding agent (15-sec mockup)

Wait 5 sec.

Hey, I’m Abhinav. I’m exploring a side project and made this short mockup to see whether the idea makes sense to anyone else. It’s for that “make this button wider… no, the other button” part of building a frontend with AI. The idea is to open your localhost page, select the exact element, and leave a note beside it. Something like: “Round these corners and use a softer blue.” You could also try changes yourself: text size, font, bold, italic, or color. A small floating toolbar would keep those controls on the page without a permanent sidebar. Then you’d send the selected element, your note, style changes, and a screenshot to your coding agent. The agent would edit the source code, and you’d review the result in the browser. The attached video is a 15-second concept mockup. The agent actions are simulated, and there’s no released extension to install yet. I’m considering connections with Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and Antigravity, but I still need to validate those. I’ve put an interactive mockup and more detail on the project page. Before taking this further, I’d like to understand how people handle this today. When your agent gets a visual change wrong, what do you usually do next? Another prompt? An annotated screenshot? Open the code yourself? If you have a minute, I made a four-question Google Form. It asks how often you use coding agents, a recent frontend change that went wrong and your workaround, and whether you’d try this on a project. The last question is an optional email if you want an early-version invite or a quick chat. No sign-in required. No payment or commitment; I haven’t decided on pricing. If you leave your email, I’ll only use it to follow up about this side project. Comments here are helpful too. If something you already use solves this well, tell me what it is and what you like about it. submitted by /u/RumLovver [link] [comments]
